Description
This complete exhaust system is constructed with a high-grade, lightweight titanium outer sleeve and end cap for the muffler, along with a stainless steel connecting pipe and headers. It weighs 3.0 kg less than the standard stock exhaust. A noise insert is included in the package because the open version of the system has no catalytic converter and was designed for use on racetracks or closed courses only. Designed to blend seamlessly with the bike’s lines, the resonator is located under the body, concealed by the lower fairings, and the muffler exits on the right side of the bike. It features an eye-catching heat shield, inspired by those on the Yamaha R6 and R1. Impressive performance gains of 4.3 kW (5.9 hp) at 9,700 rpm and an additional 2.9 Nm at 5,500 rpm were achieved when tested on the Akrapovič dyno compared to a standard stock exhaust. The racing sound lives up to the bike’s sporty reputation.
A black-coated aluminum muffler bracket for the R7 without the passenger footpegs is available as an option.
When installing the Racing Line exhaust system on Euro 5+ motorcycles (2 lambda sensors), the engine check light will come on after the system detects a deviation in the stock catalytic converter’s parameters; this can be resolved with a lambda eliminator box or an ECU remap.
